Application Instructions

Application Deadline:All Application materials must be received by February 15 to receive full consideration for admission for the following fall semester. A consists of:

1. the application form
2. two letters of recommendation
3. a transcript of your college grades.

Students from University of Arizona, University of Hawaii, and the University of Pittsburgh must contact the progarm coordinators on their campus to find out what other meterials are required by their universities. (Contact information below.)

All students are strongly encouraged to consult their academic adviser to see out how the program fits into their degree program.

Letters of recommendation: Print two copies of the recommendation form for your university. [Illinois] [Arizona] [Hawaii] [Pittsburgh] Request one letter from a Japanese language teacher and on from a non-language faculty member. If you feel there is another person who can better evaluate your maturity, emotional stability, and adaptability to living in an unfamiliar cultural setting, please feel free to send a third letter of recommendation.
