ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

The program is designed primarily for advanced undergraduates who are in good academic standing. Students from all academic disciplines and from American universities are eligible for admission. Applications from students who will graduate in the spring preceding their study in Japan will also be considered. 

Applicants are required to complete one year of Japanese language study, or the equivalent, before entering the program. 

Applicants should have a grade average of at least B and must have the kind of flexibility and sensitivity to the feelings of others that will make for a good adjustment to an unfamiliar cultural setting.
